Creating Opportunities for Neighborhood Business Corridors to Thrive
In March, Mayor Ed Lee invited SF Beautiful to participate in his Invest in Neighborhoods Initiative which will work to to revitalize neighborhood commercial corridors. This new new multi-agency initiative channels resources to communities across the city. For participating communities, “City services—including business retention and attraction programs, community planning activities, cleaning, greening and beautification services, public safety programs, and neighborhood art projects—will be deployed in a focused, customized manner that responds to the corridor’s unique challenges and opportunities.”
This effort is led by Mayor Ed Lee, The City Administrator’s Office, and the Mayor’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development.
We’re excited to be a part of this dynamic effort and will report back on progress as it’s made.
