About the Neighborhood

The Sunset is in the far west of San Francisco border by the ocean to the west and Golden Gate Park to the north. The Sunset is the largest and most populous district of San Francisco with Asian Americans making up about half of its population. Many of the homes are single family homes designed in the 1950s by Henry Doelger. Significant open space assets include Stern Grove, Fort Funston, and Ocean Beach. Source: Wikipedia

Fun Fact: Before construction of the Twin Peaks Tunnel in 1917, the Sunset was a vast, sparsely inhabited area of large sand dunes and coastal scrub land known as the "Outside Lands." Source: Wikipedia
