About the Neighborhood

North Beach is a neighborhood located between Chinatown, Fisherman’s Wharf and Russian Hill in northeast San Francisco. It is commonly known as the “Little Italy” of San Francisco, with a number of Italian cafes and restaurants. Source: Wikipedia

Fun Fact: In the 1950s, the North Beach neighborhood was the home of the Beat Generation. Authors Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg both lived in the neighborhood and frequented City Lights Bookstore, located on Columbus and Broadway. Source: Wikipedia
