About the Neighborhood

Nob Hill is a neighborhood located west of Chinatown, North of Union Square, and South of Russian Hill. Before development in the 1850s, it was called California Hill. Today Nob Hill’s attractions include the Cable Car Museum, Huntington Park, and the Fairmont Hotel. Source: Wikipedia, A View on Cities

Fun fact: Entrepreneurs of the Central Pacific Railroad, including Leland Stanford, the founder of Stanford University, all built mansions in the Nob Hill neighborhood that they resided in until the 1906 earthquake and fire. Source: Wikipedia
