In June 2000, we co-founded the Campaign to Save the Golden Gate Park Windmills, together with a coalition of local nonprofits, public agencies and businesses.  San Francisco Beautiful serves on the steering committee for this campaign.  Already, the historic Murphy Windmill in the southwest corner of Golden Gate Park, has been dismantled and transported to the Netherlands for restoration.  It is now well on the way to completion!
